Iowa State University’s Tau Sigma Chapter of Beta Theta Pi has addressed the long-term viability of the chapter house with a complete redesign and renovation. After a successful fraternity fundraising campaign, the renovation was completed in 2017 with the following features:

Converted study rooms and cold-air dorms into 10 two-man, suite-style rooms, plus two-man President’s room

Converted TV room on main floor into library/conference room

Redesigned front porch and entrance

Created group study and recreational space in basement

Installed new electrical, plumbing, and HVAC system

New roof

Upgraded side entryways

Updated public restrooms

Resurfaced parking lot

Constructed 12-occupant addition with 3,000 new square feet

Added four three-man, suite-style bedrooms
